Oregon DEQ's Policy and Rulemaking Board

The Oregon Environmental Quality Commission is a five-member panel appointed by the governor of Oregon for four-year terms to serve as the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality's policy and rulemaking board. In addition to adopting rules, the commission also establishes policies, issues orders, judges appeals of fines or other DEQ actions and appoints the DEQ director.

Public Access and Accommodation Information

Oregon Environmental Quality Commission meetings are open to the public and follow Oregon public meeting laws. To request accommodations for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, have a disability, require interpretation or need materials in alternative formats, please email Lindsay Trapp. Accommodation requests must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance of a commission meeting. Commission meetings are recorded, and agenda times are always approximate and may change.
