Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program

The Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program reopened on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Vehicles must be purchased or leased on or after that date and while the program is open to be eligible for the rebate. Any vehicles purchased or leased before May 22, 2025 are NOT eligible to apply for Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebates. If the program must close, DEQ will announce the date 30 days in advance. Program update

Standard and Charge Ahead Rebate applicants can apply online and track the status of applications. The Center for Sustainable Energy, a third-party administrator, is reviewing and processing applications on behalf of the program.

The Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program is currently experiencing a wait time of up to two months to process your application. We appreciate your patience.

Charge Ahead Applicants

Oregon residents who meet the income eligibility criteria for a Charge Ahead rebate can get pre-qualified and use a rebate voucher at a participating dealership to purchase or lease a new or used eligible electric vehicle.

If you applied for a Charge Ahead Prequalification Voucher, DEQ will email confirmation of your submission, updates on your application and, if approved, your voucher, from noreply@nic.oregon.gov. The current wait time for a prequalification voucher is 3 - 4 weeks.
